August 19, 1930 – August 12, 2023

Ruby Lee Miller Turner, 92 passed away peacefully Saturday August 12, 2023, at Greendale Forest in Snow Hill, NC.

She was born to the late John Bob Miller and Tibbie Jean Houston.

Ruby loved the lord and to read her bible. She cherished her time with her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Ruby was very fortunate to have five generations. Ruby lived a long healthy life. Ruby married Reat Turner at the age of sixteen and together they had three children Melvin (PeeWee), Rodney and Rose Marie. She worked most of her life in a sewing plant. Many of her years were spent at National Spinning in Beulaville.

Ruby is survived by her sons Melvin Reat Turner (Pee Wee) and Rodney Shirl Turner (Fay) Her grandchildren Deborah Turner Langston and Rodney Shirl Turner Jr. Her great grandchildren Rebecca Ann Harrell (Jerry) and Rodney Dalton Turner. Her great great grandchildren Miley Grace Harrell and Lillian (Lili) Jo Harrell. Two brothers Fernie Miller and Bobby Miller. Her sister Carol Jean Williams. Several Nieces & Nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband Reat Turner, her daughter Rose Marie Turner. Her siblings William Rue Miller, Brantley Roe Miller, John Issac Miller, George Washington Miller and Kermit Miller. Lifelong partner Jimmy Miller.

Ruby will especially be remembered for feeding everyone and her delicious biscuits. She was one of a kind and will be missed terribly.  She had a fiery spirit that served to strengthen everyone she met.

Wednesday August 16, 2023, 6-8 pm at Community Funeral Home in Beulaville,

Funeral Service:

Thursday August 17, 2023, at 11am at Community Funeral Home in Beulaville with burial immediately following at Oak Ridge Memorial Park in Pink Hill, NC.

The family will be receiving guests at the home of Jerry & Rebecca Harrell 149 Ruby Turner Lane Pink Hill, NC 28572.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Rebecca Harrell for a college fund for Miley. 149 Ruby Turner Lane Pink Hill, NC 28572
