A graveside service will be held on Thursday, August 12th, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Brock Family Cemetery located across the street from 2235 South NC 50, Rose Hill, NC 28458.  There will be a brief visitation at the gravesite.  For those who wish to visit more, the family will be meeting at Sensation Farmhouse Restaurant in Wallace, NC following the funeral.

Chester was born on August 5th, 1946 to Oscar Cyrus Brock and Vera Wallace Brock  of Davis, North Carolina. He was a graduate of UNC Pembroke, which led him to a career in sales at Abbott Laboratories before transitioning to insurance adjusting and ultimately retiring from FEMA.  He was also part of the National Guard, and was a very proud American and loved his country.  The best words to describe him would be laid back, easy going and a kind hearted man.  He would light up at family gatherings and always gave the best hugs.  He spent many of his retired years traveling cross country and touring the sites of the United States in a camper.  His favorite pastimes included photography and eating good food.

Chester is survived by his sons; Scott Brock (Mary) of Richmond, VA and Alan Brock (Tami) of Winterville, NC and siblings; Dorette Brock Britt of Highland Village, TX and Wayne Brock of McKinney, TX and grandchildren; Parker Brock, Caroline Brock, Collin Brock, and Katherine Brock.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
