Rex Dewayne Gainus' Obituary
On January 10, 2023 Rex Dewayne Gainus was called home to heaven.
Rex was born on October 11, 1962 to Roland and Rachel Gainus of Beulaville, North Carolina. He attended East Duplin High School, class of 1981.
Rex spent many years working on automobiles as a auto body repairman until he started his own business, Gainus Lawn Maintenance. He married the love of his life, Darlene Finniss Gainus on August 25, 1990 and together they have two beautiful children: Victoria Ann and Cory James.
Rex was a man of the people, always talking, laughing, and bringing sunshine to the lives of those around him. He would move the moon to help anyone, anytime, and had the biggest heart.
Rex is survived and missed greatly by his wife, Darlene, his children Victoria and Cory (wife Ruya), his brothers Roger (wife Karen) and Robin (wife Amanda), and many more loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Roland and his mother Rachel.
Rex was a no fuss man, and wanted a celebration of the wonderful life he led and the wonderful man he was. This celebration will occur at a later date at the dream farm that he and Darlene were working on at the time of his passing.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2023 at 7:00 PM, followed by visitation at Community Funeral Home, Beulaville, NC.
In lieu of flowers the family kindly requests that any donations be sent to Jacob's Well Church at 143 Twin Pond Lane Richlands, NC 28574.
