Obituary

Our beloved husband, daddy, and papa entered in to his heavenly home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, Aug 26.
While he is missed beyond words, he has been completely healed and is walking the streets of gold.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ramon and Odessa Bryan, siblings Benjamin Bryan, Alex Bryan, and Harriet Bryan Baker.
He leaves behind the love of his life of 53 years Brenda Sue Whaley Bryan, children Eric Bryan, Lisa Bryan Padgett (Shawn), grandchildren who were his pride and joy:  Gavin, Presleigh, and Blake, as well as his brothers Willie Bryan (Ann) and Rupert Bryan, his in-laws known as "The Sisters" (Frances Blizzard, Carolyn Thomas, and Judy Edwards), many beloved nieces and nephews, and special family members Angela Smith and Amanda Howerton.
A Vietnam Veteran, Hatch loved and served his country.  After serving in the United States Air Force and United States Coast Guard, he obtained a Bachelors of Science degree from East Carolina University and a Masters of Science in Vocational Industrial Education from North Carolina A & T.  He taught for 30 years in the Onslow County School System and retired in 2006.  Having played the guitar since the age of 5, he served the Lord through gospel music ministry playing every Sunday for his church Piney Grove PFWB Church, gospel bands, special events, and occasionally with others at nursing homes.  The family would like to thank everyone for their prayers.
Special thanks to Hannes and Tina Recker (Family in Germany), Susan Frederick, NP, Dr and Mrs Tom Rojy, Dr Peter Watson, Dr Benjamin Calvo, Vidant Hospice Team: Deann, RN, Brandy, RN, Leanne, MSW, Ray (Chaplain), Duplin EMT's Jason and Matthew, Realo Pharmacisits Fitz Bostic and Suzanne Sumner, and Susan Sugg from the Hope Lodge in Greenville, NC.
