Patricia "Ms. Pat" Barney Lanier, 89, died Monday, February 5, 2024, at the Novant Health
Pender Medical Center, Burgaw, North Carolina

Ms. Pat was a loving and diligent woman. She was happily married to the love of her life Mr.
Al, just shy of 67 years. They have been the true example of what a Godly loving marriage
should look like. Always holding hands and smooching until she left this world.

Ms. Pat was a mother to many and loved them all deeply. She willingly shared lessons on how to
be a Godly wife offering prayers and life lessons to those who cared to listen. Let us not
forget the strong words of correction.

Ms. Pat cared for many people as a nurse even though she retired, her caring never stopped.

Ms. Pat was a member of the Gideons Auxiliary for over 40 years, a dedicated member of "The Church of Pinhook". She had a
great love for good music, a good Scrabble game, a great cookbook and watching the birds from the kitchen table with Mr. Al.
