Patricia Ann Williams Cole, July 15, 1938 - February 17, 2025.
Patricia Ann Cole, (née Williams), late of Potters Hill, passed away during the early morning
hours of February 17, 2025 at Dayspring assisted living facility in Wallace, North Carolina.
Patricia (known lovingly as "Trit" for short) was born on July 15, 1938 in Potters Hill, North
Carolina. She was one of fourteen children of Andrew Pickett Williams and Laura "Tena"
Griffin Williams and came of age on the family's farm. Like the rest of her siblings, she
contributed her fair share to the farm work, such as picking cotton and tobacco, collecting
chicken eggs, household chores, and helping cook meals for her family.
In 1957, following her graduation from the Beulaville School, Patricia married the love of her
life, Noah Cole Jr., and the pair would remain married for 65 years. The couple would take
up residence in Potters Hill on land near Patricia's parents. There they would raise their only
child, Curtis D. Cole and for a time, Noah's younger brother Ricky.
Patricia was a loving and devoted wife, homemaker, mother, and grandmother who could
often be found tending to her garden alongside Noah, collecting plums for homemade
jellies, playing with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and studying the scripture.
Patricia was a devout Jehovah's Witness who regularly attended services at the Kingdom
Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Kinston. Potters Hill is where Patricia called home, having
lived nearly the entirety of her life in that community. It was not uncommon for her to share
stories from her youth, her family, and her life growing up surrounded by so many brothers
and sisters who were still regular visitors to her home until their individual passing.
Patricia is survived by her son, Curt (Cathy) Cole; grandchildren, Tessa (Jason) Eaddy,
Chance (Jade) Cole, and Katelin (T.J.) Howard; great-grandchildren, Nora and Everleigh
Eaddy, Rosalie Cole, and Talon and Davis Howard; and her sister, Jenny Taylor.
She is preceded in death by her husband Noah, whom she pined for each and every day
since his passing in 2022.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Community Funeral
Home, located at 840 West Main Street, Beulaville, NC 28518. A funeral service will follow,
beginning at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place immediately afterwards at the A.P. Williams

Special thanks to the staff of Dayspring of Wallace for their care and kindness in Patricia's final years.
