Lester Wellington Houston, 93 of Pink Hill passed away Friday, April 29, 2022 at Harmony Hall Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Kinston.

Lester was the youngest son of 17 children born to Mamie and Thomas Houston.  He remained on the family farm and began farming on his own at age 16.  He loved farming and planted his last crop at age 86.  Lester was also an avid hunter and fisherman who spent many happy days in the company of friends and family hunting quail, listening to dogs run in pursuit of a deer, and fishing the Trent River.
