Health and Rehabilitation Center, located in Kenansville, North Carolina.

Dean was born at his home in Duplin County on October 2, 1943, to Thad and Ardolia Jones. He was
born with RH Disease and did not walk until the age of five. However, this condition never slowed him
down. He graduated from Beulaville High School and retired from Guilford Mills after 29 years of
exemplary service.
He bowled and played golf on Guilford's company team and enjoyed shooting pool
and working at Lanier's Café in Beulaville. He worked so he could get his first drivers license and car at the age of 27. He took pride in his work and was always early for his shift, he was never late for work. He
loved to joke around and had an infectious laugh.
Dean was loved and known by his Beulaville Community. He loved to go to the Smokehouse, Duff's, and the Filling Station to visit and eat. He enjoyed collecting model classic cars and in his earlier years enjoyed being at the beach spending many of his summers at the Surf City Family Campground.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thad and Ardolia Jones and his sister, Hilda Howard.
A Memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 19 at 6:00 pm at the Community Funeral Home
