Arthur Lowenback Carroll, Jr. passed onto his eternal home on Sunday, June 14, 2026.
Born in 1936 to Arthur, a talented jack of all trades, and Helen, always described as soft and sweet, Art was the baby brother of Mary Lou and Roy. They had a mostly happy life, even through the WWII years, and after high school, Art did a two-year stint in the Army. He returned to his hometown and soon married Charlotte Martin, and were blessed with two children, Vance and Andrea.
During their divorce, Art placed his life in God's hands and became a new man. He went hither and yon sharing the Good News of Christ's death on our behalf, speaking with coworkers at the Water Authority where he was an engineer, with various strangers, with prisoners at the local jail, and with men in the nearby Alpha Omega Home, a faith-based recovery program for men, and with many more.
He met Lydia in church, and after their marriage in 1985, together they raised Noelle, Tessa, Marjorie, Peter, and Arthur.
Through his many ups and down and up to his last days, he served his Saviour faithfully.
He is preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Helen Carroll Sr., and daughter Andrea Carroll.
